Hans Eisenmann-Zentrum inaugurated in Juli 2013

In July 2013 the new building of the Hans Eisenmann-Zentrum was inaugurated.The new building will offer state-of-the-art working conditions for the scientists on a usable area of around 3200 sqm. In addition to office and laboratory space, seminar and classrooms for advanced training events for scientists, lecturers and practitioners will be built.With the inauguration, the management of the centre was transferred from the former Managing Director, Prof. Johann Bauer, to his successor, Prof. Wilhelm Windisch. The new building will house the office of the Hans Eisenmann Centre, the Chairs of Organic Agriculture and Plant Production Systems, Plant Breeding, Animal Nutrition and the Departments of Biostatistics and Population Genetics.

On 10 May 2012, the Technical University of Munich, the Free State of Bavaria and the Freising State Building Authority celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the new building with the trades.The shell of the building has been completed and the four-storey building on Liesel-Beckmann-Str. in Freising should be ready for occupancy by mid-2013.
