Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences Student Association
The Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences Student Association is an organization of students for students. It includes the degree programs Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (B.Sc.), Agricultural Systems Sciences (M.Sc.), Agricultural Biosciences (M.Sc.) and AgriFood Economics, Policy and Regulation (M.Sc.).
The focus of our work is university politics. We participate in appointment committees and working groups such as quality management circles in order to promote good academic teaching in the interests of the students. We are also represented in committees of the TUM School of Life Sciences (e.g. Student Council Weihenstephan, School Council) but also TUM-wide (e.g. Student Council) in order to represent our interests.
In addition, we are also there for students in general and have an open ear for questions about the organization of studies, exam preparation or finding a connection. We are happy to help wherever we can.
In order to be able to offer events, we have organized our student council as the Weihenstephan Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences Student Council Association. This enables us, for example, to plan the annual Entrepreneurs' Day together with the HSWT or to hold our traditional Schneeball in December.
But the student council is actually much more than "just" that. It connects people who volunteer for their degree course and thus form a cohesive community.
How to get involved
We hold our student council meetings every two weeks on Monday evenings, where we discuss new university policy issues, distribute tasks or pass on information.
Interested? Just come along if you want to get to know new people and shape life at the university together.
