Biography
Margit studied Agricultural Sciences at the University of Hohenheim and obtained her doctoral degree at the University of Gießen. Afterwards, she worked at the Helmholtz Center Munich and TUM in the field of Soil Science and Plant Production. In these positions, she was responsible for the scientific coordination of collaborative projects and the DFG-Senate Commission for Agroecosystem Research. She can now bring her experiences into the promotion of young scientists at HEF.
At HEF, she coordinates the application for a Research Training Group on Agroforestry Systems as a means to develop sustainable agricultural production systems and multifunctional landscapes. In addition she organizes the HEF-PhD Symposium, which takes place annually in April and provides a platform for networking among doctoral students.
