From alternative land use systems to animal-friendly food: the Hans Eisenmann Forum's agricultural science symposium is dedicated to a selected topic of agricultural research every year since 2010.
Experts from research and practice present the respective topics from various perspectives and give all interested parties an overview of the subject matter. This is not just about frontal lectures, but above all about exchanging ideas and strengthening the agricultural science network.

Plant protection faces profound challenges: climate change, new pests, regulatory requirements, and societal expectations call for a fundamental shift in thinking. Traditional approaches are increasingly reaching their limits—integrated, sustainable, and innovative solutions are needed.
The HEFagriSymposium 2026 will highlight current developments across the entire value chain: from global challenges to digital early-warning systems and chemical and biological strategies, all the way to plant breeding, plants’ own defense mechanisms, and modern biotechnological processes. The program will be complemented by insights from the field and perspectives from the startup scene.
The goal is to bring together different disciplines, generate new ideas, and strengthen the dialogue between science, practice, and innovation—for sustainable plant protection and resilient agricultural systems.
