Biography
David Gackstetter has been part of the HEF office since 2019. Based on his background as an environmental engineer, he initially gained experience on the challenges and development of research data infrastructures (FDM) in agricultural sciences, in addition to his Science Manager role. Specifically, these included data management systems for Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and metadata catalog systems. During this course, he was the responsible Science Manager at HEF during the proposal phase of the FAIRagro project.
Beyond FDM, David Gackstetter is now one of the primary contacts for interdisciplinary research projects in the thematic area of digital and automated agriculture. In his area of focus, he is pleased to provide information about the current activities of HEF, networks with further contacts, and supports based on his experiences both national and international project proposals.
