Dr.-Heinrich-Baur-University Donation
The Dr.-Heinrich-Baur-University donation dates back to 1966. In a donation contract, the couple Sophia and Dr. Heinrich Baur bequeath the Grünschwaige estate to the former Faculty of Agriculture and Horticulture of the Technical University of Munich. This will still allows the faculty to award Dr. Heinrich Baur prizes today.
The aim is to promote outstanding scientific work in the field of agricultural research and related disciplines.
The members of the Wissenschaftszentrum Weihenstephan nominate worthy prize winners and the advisory board of the Dr.-Heinrich-Baur-Hochschulschenkung appoints them.
Prize categories
Dr. Heinrich Baur Award
The award is intended for young scientists (e.g. post-docs) who are predicted to have a scientific career based on their performance.
Dr.-Heinrich-Baur-Prize
For the recognition of outstanding scientific achievements.
The prize is intended for scientists who have habilitated or performed equivalent work.
Dr.-Heinrich-Baur-Prize
For merits in agricultural sciences and cooperation in Weihenstephan.
This prize is intended for established scientists who have distinguished themselves through excellent scientific achievements and close, long-standing cooperation with the Weihenstephan Science Centre.
