13th HEF Agricultural Science Symposium on September 29, 2022
More and more people, less and less agricultural land - how additional food can be produced sustainably indoors is a new field of research for agriculture: Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).
For this event, we asked the presenters:
- What is the state of CEA in the different sub-disciplines of agricultural research?
- What are the critical issues on energy, supply chains and societal implications?
- What are the unresolved scientific questions on CEA?
- What collaborations with other science sectors or disciplines point to the future?
The symposium was held in cooperation with the German Agricultural Research Alliance (DAFA) and was also the launch event for the DAFA Controlled Environment Agrículture platform.
