We remember Prof. Mariana Rufino
News |
Mariana Rufino shaped agricultural research worldwide as a scientist in Africa, Latin America, and Europe, most recently as a professor at TUM. She was also active in other institutions and groups, such as the FAO, the international research network AgMIP, the CGIAR Centers, and the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB).
Her work and influence have had and will continue to have a lasting impact on her field of expertise, livestock breeding systems. We remember her as a scientist at the TUM School of Life Sciences and the Hans Eisenmann Forum, but above all as a valued colleague.
She touched many people throughout her career. Her colleagues, the agricultural science community, and the nearly 40 students she supervised in their theses will carry on her research.
We thank her for her work at the Hans Eisenmann Forum and at all previous stages of her career.
