Connected Sensor Intelligence
The HEF is setting up an IoT sensor network for TUM's agricultural research facilities. This includes the provision of an LPWAN infrastructure and its integration into a digital platform for the storage, interoperable access and display of sensor data. Users are provided with comprehensive and simplified remote access to sensors and sensor data via a network connection.
Smart Rural Areas Data Infrastructure
The interdisciplinary platform “Smart Rural Area Data Infrastructure” (SRADI) is being set up to make research data accessible. A central component is the HEF catalog, which stores information about resources such as organizations and datasets. The catalog provides metadata storage, publication, retrieval, information discovery and user access management.
AgriHUB - Data Catalog
The AgriHUB data catalog is the core component of SRADI. It includes different types of resources such as projects, software, devices and raw data and establishes semantic relationships between them. Unlike existing catalogs, our concept is not limited to managing information at the dataset or service level, but works at the level of individual physical things (e.g. agricultural plots or machines). The catalog also manages actors and organizations involved in the process.
FAIRagro
FAIRagro unites the agrosystems research community and develops a digital infrastructure for sustainable crop production. The project is led by the Leibniz Center for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) and the HEF as co-applicants. In order to make research data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), we are setting up an interoperable and scalable research data infrastructure (FDI), networking existing repositories and facilitating systemic analyses.
