The „Shanghai Rankings“ evaluate universities’ research based on the number and citation rates of publications and international cooperation in research. TUM's ranking in agricultural sciences underlines its research's global recognition and influence.

In addition to agricultural sciences, TUM achieved top 10 rankings in remote sensing and biotechnology. Eight TUM departments are among the top 50 worldwide, further highlighting the university's excellent research quality.
