At the TUM booth, TUM School of Life Science Campus Office representatives and current students will provide insights into Life Sciences Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. This includes, for example, Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Agricultural Systems Sciences and Forest Sciences. The Chair of Animal Nutrition and Metabolism presents exhibits from the model and demonstration Animal Welfare (MuD) project MiniAbeR and provides information on other ongoing research projects. In addition to TUM, the agricultural science location Weihenstephan will also be represented by the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf (HSWT) and the State Research Center for Agriculture (LfL).
The future of agricultural science studies
On Thursday, 14 November 2024, Claudia Luksch, Managing Director of the Hans Eisenmann Forum, will moderate the Expert Stage with a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Julia Steinhoff-Wagner, followed by a panel discussion. Under the title “Knowledge continues to grow - How do we counter the shortage of skilled workers?”, representatives from TUM and other institutions will discuss the transformation of academic education in the agricultural sciences.
